Terms of Service

1. Who may use RecruitBoard

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements and any higher minimum age required by law in your country. You must be authorised to manage any Discord server you configure through RecruitBoard. You are responsible for keeping your Discord account secure.

2. What RecruitBoard provides

RecruitBoard offers tools for creating recruitment forms, reviewing applications, configuring support ticket panels, managing private ticket channels and administering server-specific settings. Features may be added, changed or removed as the platform develops.

3. Discord and third-party services

RecruitBoard relies on Discord and other infrastructure services. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord's Terms of Service and its community rules. We cannot guarantee that Discord APIs, permissions, messages, channels or other third-party services will always be available.

4. Server owner and administrator responsibilities

• Only configure servers you own or are authorised to manage.
• Ensure your recruitment questions and support processes are appropriate, lawful and clearly communicated to members.
• Assign staff roles and channel permissions carefully to protect private applications and support tickets.
• Review applications and support requests fairly and in accordance with your community rules.
• Do not request passwords, authentication tokens, payment card details or unnecessary sensitive personal information through application forms or tickets.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use RecruitBoard to harass or threaten others, distribute malware, impersonate people, conduct fraud, spam users, evade bans, gain unauthorised access, or process information unlawfully. You must not attempt to interfere with the website, bot, databases or other users' servers.

6. Applications and staff decisions

Recruitment applications are submitted to the relevant Discord community. That community's authorised staff are responsible for assessing applications and making recruitment decisions. RecruitBoard provides the management tools but does not independently approve applicants or guarantee any position or outcome.

7. Support tickets and transcripts

Ticket channels may contain private conversations accessible to the ticket opener and authorised staff. Staff may claim, close, reopen or delete tickets using available controls. When an administrator uses the built-in permanent ticket deletion process, the bot attempts to send a transcript to the ticket opener by Discord DM before deleting the channel and its associated ticket record. Delivery can fail if DMs are unavailable, and attachment links in transcripts may become inaccessible later.

8. Privacy and personal information

Our Privacy Policy describes how account information, server settings, application information, ticket records and related data are handled. Server administrators remain responsible for how they collect and use information in their own recruitment and support workflows.

9. Availability and service changes

RecruitBoard is provided on an as-available basis. We may perform maintenance, address security issues, adjust features or temporarily suspend functionality. We aim to maintain a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted operation or error-free functionality.

10. Restrictions and suspension

We may restrict access to accounts or Discord servers when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, misuse or violations of these terms. Where appropriate, you may contact the RecruitBoard team to ask for a decision to be reviewed.

11. Intellectual property

RecruitBoard branding, website design and original platform materials are owned by their respective rights holders. You may use the service for its intended purposes but may not falsely represent RecruitBoard as your own product or redistribute proprietary components without permission. Discord and other third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

12. Responsibility and liability

You are responsible for the content you submit and the actions taken by your community staff. To the extent permitted by applicable law, RecruitBoard is not responsible for third-party outages, lost opportunities, moderation decisions by independent server teams or indirect losses arising from service interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits statutory rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the platform, law or operating practices. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published. Continued use after updated terms take effect indicates acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
